Forest bathing is all about submerging yourself in a forest location, and using your senses to immerse yourself in the different sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors. In fact, it represents a way to build a bridge between ourselves and the natural world. And its advocates believe that reconnecting with the great outdoors in this way can help to improve both physical and mental health. So, like biophilia, forest bathing strives to increase our connectivity with the natural environment.

    Forest bathing has been proven to reduce stress, improve feelings of wellbeing, lower heart rate/blood pressure, and increase creativity.      I am a huge fan of luxury statement mirrors. They are a fast, effective way to transform any room – but they really make a difference in the bathroom. It's easy to make the mistake of choosing your mirror last, almost as an afterthought. However, ideally they should feature in the room plan right from the start, in order to complement and enhance the colour scheme and design. Of course, it’s never too late to make changes – but this is not a job that should be rushed.     Origins Living supplies bathroom accessories for Michelin Starred Peat Inn

    We worked in conjunction with Glasgow’s Scope Bathrooms to provide a range of accessories for the Michelin starred restaurant The Peat Inn’s luxury suites.

    Scope Bathrooms regularly specifies Origins Living products for hotels, and this most recent project has seen eight individually designed luxury suites supplied with items from the Sonia Tecno Project collection. The Peat Inn near St Andrews, Fife which dates back to the 1700s is owned by award winning Chef and columnist Geofrrey Smeddle and his wife Katherine.

    Scope Bathrooms Managing Director, Derek Miller commented, “Origins Living is our preferred accessories supplier for hotel projects as their wide range of styles suits almost every type of design specification. The sheer simplicity of the Tecno range complemented the other items specified for this particular project.”
